Secondly, please pray that my passport renewal will be sent to me pronto (they promised within four weeks) so that I can return to Haiti early in November. I want to be there to wrap up the planning with the Study Center Committee in preparation to hold our first class early in 2016! Lord willing, I will also teach on the history and theology of the Reformation, register more students, and distribute French Study Bibles (as a result of a most generous donation from dear friends – now we can all be on the same page, literally!). We must have a minimum of eight for our first class, but the pastors I’m working with assure me that that will be no problem!
And thirdly, please pray for my study of Creole, the native language of Haiti. I made good progress on my September trip, thanks to my tutors, and I want to reach conversational status in Creole along with French. Some of the pastors speak Spanish, so when my French and Creole fail, and their English is inadequate, we just speak español!
In closing let me share with you that by God’s grace our family got moved into an apartment in mid-September. We are feeling more settled in Florida now. The Lord has led us to a wonderful Bible Church, and we are meeting new friends and neighbors. God has brought an amazing level of healing for Cheryl, and she is enjoying working full time at the Genesis Prep School in New Port Richey in the PreK department. We trust that God will provide all our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19), who called us to be His witnesses! All for Jesus!
